We had booked months ahead for a tea for two on my birthday. This tea house is a lovely and cozy place. The food and tea were delicious and we enjoyed 5 different teas, served in teapots of course. The various sandwiches have generous portions. The scones are warm, buttery and flaky. Paired with the lemon custard or cream it tastes divine. We were served fresh fruit, sandwiches, scones, petit pastries. The Madeleines that are part of the pastries were the best I've ever had. The lemon curd is home made. The croissants with egg salad and chicken salad were very fresh. The salads themselves are clearly home made and delicious. The service was kind and very friendly. Overall just a great experience for us. We've been to other tea rooms in SD county but Claudia's Tea House exceeded our expectations.

Claudia’s tea house was just perfect for my friend’s bridal shower!! From service, to tea variety, to food quality….it was just the right fit for us in a group of 8. Would recommend for special occasions to anyone looking to have a fun tea party experience!

Everything was so perfect about this place from the service to the ambiance to the food and tea! Claudia and Isabella were so kind, attentive, and patient. The fruit, sandwiches, baked goods, and desserts were all so fresh and delicious. When first walking onto the property, you are surrounded by lots of beautiful plants and off to the side are the homes of a tortoise and water turtle! Inside, the decor is quaint, fun, and stylish. The place is VERY kid friendly and so accommodating. We will definitely be repeat customers! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

I'm a tea house aficionado and I've been to so many over the years, but Claudia's is by far my favorite! From the moment you walk up through the lovely garden, you are transported into a fairytale! I've been for a huge outdoor event with my Jane Austen Society group, indoors for a ladies church group tea that a friend organized, and at a high tea for two birthday treat with a friend, and all experiences were lovely! The atmosphere is my favorite in San Diego... the decor, soft background music, garden and service. Claudia is such a lovely lady - inside and out - and a gracious hostess! Highly recommend!

We were looking to have a last minute tea party for my daughter's 6th birthday and we were so happy to find Claudia's! She was so accommodating! The little yellow tea house and garden were so cute! All the details and decorations were so fabulous: a pink phone booth, trinkets, tea sets, art. The food was incredible and all homemade by Claudia, our gracious host; she attended to our every need and was so warm and welcoming. The whole vibe of the place was so relaxed yet classically elegant and by the end of the tea party we felt like family with the other tables and Claudia. There were so many amazing photo ops too! We can't to go back for more tea parties, summer camps, and events. What a treasure!!!
